The best coffee roasters I’ve brewed at home this past month!
(a bit behind on the months but that’s ok)!
I’ve been trying so many different coffee at home the last couple months so I figured it was about time to start doing a post on my monthly coffee favorites!
I’m very excited to try out more from this roaster. Also, this packaging? hello? also gorgeous!
If you love coffee with a nice nutty undertone this coffee is perfect for you.

Graziella
Graziella’s Coffee Company’s Ecuador – Loja is so flavorful! I was super impressed with the way the caramel undertones are not only present right after it’s brewed, but it sustains as it cools as well. Super nice toffee/caramel kinda cup!
Super sweet team as well over there 🙂

Taza Manga
Taza manga – Signature Coffee from Taste the Origin is a super smooth and balanced single origin coffee from Colombia!
I was so happy to come across a site that highlights fair trade single origin coffee (coffee that’s farmed and roasted from the same place). This blend even has a subtle nutty undertone that pulls through as it cools!

For more coffee content make sure to keep up with my instagram! I’ve been posting lots of full coffee reviews and unboxings over there.
I used to spend so much time scrolling through instagram being like “Wow, I want to do that. I want to be able to piece flat lays together!”. Like many things, it just got to a point where I was like ok now let’s try this out and see how it goes.
also, for reference:
A flat lay is a picture taken from a birds eye view of a collection of items laid out on a flat surface. Usually there will be one item that is the main focus of the shot, all the other items in the flat lay are there to complement that piece.

I am in no way an expert, in fact, I’m a huge amateur. I guess delving into flat lay photography while being stuck at home has become another creative outlet for me. I go more into how I started getting into photograpy here.
First and foremost, I created a pinterest board containing my current flat lay must-haves! So check that out here. More recently I’ve realized how great of a tool pinterest is to link things in bulk.
I also don’t really use any equipment other than my tripod (which I 10/10 recommend as it comes with the bluetooth remote & also an attachment to use for your Iphone). It’s super easy to use and it was super reasonable.
Although I’m very grateful to be living with my family during quarantine, there isn’t much space in the house to use to take photos… and as cringe as it is to say…. most of the house is too dark and doesn’t match my ideal aesthetic.
To fix that I bit the bullet and purchased a backdrop off etsy. I wasn’t too sure which one to go for but this one had great reviews and honestly it’s such great quality too. I really recommend this brand.

The main props
Lately I’ve been using a couple main props that my flat lays focus around. As you can guess from my instagram, or from my past posts like Staying Organized in Quarantine, I love using coffee as the star of the show.
These are just some examples of some of my favorite ones to use but head to my pinterest board to get the full list.
Okay, so
These macrame are everything. I always get so many questions about where I got them from and it makes me so happy because this artist is SO talented. I love not only functionally using these coasters at my desk, but also to add texture to my photos.

Although I’d prefer to have real flowers and plants as props, Target just kills the game with all the fake flowers what can I say. They are super affordable.
The “brand” I guess from Target called Hearth & Hand has been coming out with so many cute basket kind of accessories and this one is my favorite as of now. A great addition to add dimension and texture into photos and also its just super cute.
What’s your opinion on flat lays?
What are your favorite photography props to use?
*disclaimer* some of these links are affiliate links, but not all. Thanks so much if you’ve read this far. I appreciate it so much.
Since we’re all stuck inside dreaming of the other places we could be I thought I’d hop on to this trend and share my ultimate travel destination bucket list!
Recently I’ve been going back through my photos and blogging about some awesome places I’ve been in the last year: Stockholm, Berlin, other areas of Germany, and the Pacific Northwest. It has got me thinking even more of when we can safely leave the house and explore again.
Surprisingly, Croatia was on the top of my list long before I got into Game of Thrones a couple years ago. The country itself just seems like such an interesting mix of tropical-Mediterranean kind of feel with classic Europe…. if that makes any sense?
I’ve had a short weekend layover in Oslo a couple years back but have never ventured out from there. With my interest in marine biology, the fjords especially around Bergen and north of there sounds absolutely incredible!
I don’t see many people post about going to Romania, nor do I know anyone personally that has been here. It seems like the perfect “off beaten path” medieval fantasy spot. I don’t know enough about the country itself but it seems a lot quieter than some of the more popular European castle destinations. For example in Austria, and in Germany when I visited castles for the most part they had a decent crowd. Who knows, I could be very wrong!
If you have travelled to Romania please let me know any of your tips!
This spot was in the back of my head but especially once seeing the way it was portrayed in parts of the movie “Crazy Rich Asians” I couldn’t help but get super curious and want to visit.
A more mainstream choice nowadays but it really does seem completely different than any other place I’ve been. Especially with how different the Japanese culture must be from what I’m used to I am so interested to travel there and really delve into their culture.
If you know me, this one is kind of obvious with my dream career plans but I’d thought I’d include it anyway. I’ve gotten into it more in depth in past posts, but to sum it up I hope to conduct my own scientific research in Antarctica one day.
I’d be so interested in your travel bucket list! What spot makes the top of your list?
I am switching up my content a little bit (trying to get creative with being home). also i’ve been testing out my new Iphone tripod to delve into the whole flatlay world!! first try not terrible?

my next 90 days planner: @savorlifeplanner acts not only as a planner but a place organize my goals, self reflect and have fun with washi tape. the “90 days” is a less intimidating length of time to achieve goals
a journal: i’m still trying my best to get into the habit of journaling!! it’s taking a while but progress is being made (this one is from urban outfitters, not sure if it is still available cause I got it as a gift)
airpods duhhh: my method of choice to keep up with my fave podcasts and multitask. Some of my favorite podcasts have been Gals on the Go, Happy Hour with Gretchen and Pretty Basic.
nintendo ds: everyone talking about all the animal crossing they’ve been doing has gotten me to miss the simpler times of just chilling home on my ds. as much as i adore all my pokémon games, recently nintendogs has been my shit
pinch me: i got this for christmas and with my spiked anxiety at the moment this “therapy dough” is a great tool for me. i’m a big nail biter when it comes to being anxious and nerves and also i can never just do one thing at once. so this has been perfect to keep one of my hands busy (while driving, watching youtube, etc.) and feel 7 again playing with dough
COFFEE: genuinely the real star of my entire life but this coffee SLAPS ok. My current favorite is this “Toro” roast by Devocion in Brooklyn.
